Perimeter recently hosted the 2nd annual Tame the Lane party, which was attended by many of our great tenants and companies in the tech & creative sector in Kitchener-Waterloo. The event was a huge success with great music, food provided by TWH Social, craft beer, dunk tank and rock climbing wall. It was one of the hottest parties of the summer!

Breithaupt Block wins REX Award

Breithaupt Block

The Breithaupt Block was recently awarded a prestigious Real Estate Excellence (REX) Award as Office Development of the Year. The annual awards recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement, leadership and innovation of the office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate in Ontario. The project is a new landmark in downtown Kitchener’s Innovation District and will raise the design bar for the Region.  Once complete the 225,000 SF project will be home to Google’s largest office in Canada.

BRIDGE Storefront to Open on Main Street

Perimeter is pleased to announce that BRIDGE Waterloo Architecture is using 60 Main Street in Cambridge as a pop-up space to run events and workshops. Founded in 2012, BRIDGE Waterloo Architecture is an organization that engages the students of the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, the University of Waterloo itself, and the community of Cambridge through both a digital and physical presence in the promotion of architecture and design. As a completely inclusive and transparent organization, BRIDGE Waterloo Architecture invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to get involved by contacting bridge@waterlooarchitecture.com.

Currently in the planning stages, BRIDGE Storefront at 37 Main Street will be a multipurpose space for lectures, workshops, meetings, gallery shows, and various other events. BRIDGE Storefront will create a public presence for the UWSA, activating downtown Cambridge through student and community interest in architecture and design.

Square Opens Office at 305 KING

San Francisco based mobile payment company Square recently held a party to celebrate the opening of their new Canadian office at 305 KING. Founder Jack Dorsey and other dignitaries were in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

Tame the Lane

On July 10th, Perimeter Development Corporation hosted the party of the summer, TAME THE LANE, here at Halls Lane downtown Kitchener. Great food, live music, a t-shirt cannon, and not to forget the infamous dunk tank, were a few of the attractions held throughout the night for the local tech community to kick back, relax, and have some fun downtown! The City of Kitchener, DNA Screening, & CMG Entertainment joined in to help make the night a great success. If you missed it this year, don’t sweat, TAME THE LANE will be back again next year! Square selects 305 KING for first Canadian office

Perimeter is pleased to announce that Square has selected 305 KING as the location for their first office in Canada, joining other offices in San Francisco, New York City, Atlanta and Tokyo. Square CEO and tech legend, Jack Dorsey recently toured the building and was impressed with Perimeter’s vision for transforming the building and how it is taking shape. Square is a technology company whose focus is making commerce easy for everyone, from accepting credit cards to managing a full point of sale.
