Historic Charm, Modern Comforts
We loved this building so much we made it our headquarters. Built in 1895 by William Simpson as a furniture factory and retail store, we renovated the Simpson Block from top to bottom. Floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed beams, beautiful brick detailing—everything got a refresh.
The colour comes from more than the vibrant downtown block: we’ve also installed bright abstract paintings in the offices and the laneway features two murals in rich reds, greens, and purples.
Historic charm, modern comforts, contemporary style: it’s no wonder that CBC Radio and coffee stalwart Matter of Taste chose to join us. The national broadcaster’s regional office produces live news shows and programs that cover the arts in this region, among other efforts. And as it approaches its twentieth birthday, Kitchener’s beloved independent café still does its roasting in-house.
